We are excited to share that VFT has recently partnered with the USTA’s National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) network to launch a new initiative: the VFT Tennis & Learning Program. Our new program will provide a supervised after school homework environment for children enrolled in our Futures and Challengers programs. This no-cost program will be available to children for one hour (before or after tennis) depending on which program they are in.
The learning program will be supervised by Anne Williamson and Jill Waxweiler. Anne and Jill worked together for many years as third-grade teachers at the Tisbury School and bring a wealth of educational experience to the program. Jill’s granddaughter is currently playing in the Challenger Group, and Anne’s daughter trained at VFT and was a member of the MVRHS state championship tennis team.

Open to children enrolled in our ATP Programs (Futures, Challengers)
Futures invited to participate Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:30-5:30 (after tennis)
Challengers invited to participate Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:30-4:30 (before tennis)
Registration is required for each day that your child participates in the program
Unfortunately we cannot accept walk-in participants
NJTL is supported by the USTA Foundation, the national charitable organization of the USTA. Across the country, NJTL chapters provide young people with opportunities that extend beyond the court. Their programs combine tennis with academic enrichment, after-school tutoring, and a life-skills curriculum designed to support students both athletically and academically.
